Maryland is the home of many Events Rights Holders (ERH) and National Governing Bodies (NGB). Below is a list and short description of all know ERH’s and NGB’s along with their social media information.
Elite Tournaments (ERH)
Carroll County
Elite Tournaments has organized over 110 youth soccer events for eight different clubs, colleges, international and professional organizations since its inception in 2000. Throughout the year, Elite Tournaments runs multiple soccer tournaments along the eastern seaboard and across the US and has also managed international tournaments in Bermuda for the Bermuda Football Association (BFA). In the 2011, Elite will continue to expand their bailiwick by running a charity race to raise money for juvenile diabetes.
Elite Tournaments has based its company on the experiences of its staff’s playing, coaching and managing experience at other events prior to joining the company. Members of the Elite Tournament’s staff are former high school and college standouts, as well as a former collegiate and high school coaches and referees.

The Columbia Triathlon Association, or TriColumbia, began its journey to become one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier endurance event production companies in 1983 when a group of triathlon enthusiasts participated in what would become CTA’s signature event, The Columbia Triathlon in the Spring of 1984. The driving force behind CTA is Founder, President, Race Director and 6-time Ironman Kona finisher, Robert Vigorito. He had a vision to produce endurance events, especially triathlons, which highlight the highest possible levels of athleticism while making lasting and positive contributions to participating athletes, to the sport of triathlon, and to our community at large.
Since 1983, CTA has created numerous events throughout the state that attract professional and amateur athletes from across the world to key events such as the Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon, the Columbia Triathlon and the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon. The ChesapeakeMan Ultra Distance Triathlon has earned the distinction of being named a “Best 140.6 Race” in the March, 2010 issue of Triathlon Magazine and hosts the USAT Mid Atlantic Ultra Distance Championship.

North American Table Tennis (ERH)

North American Table Tennis conducted its first major event in November of 1998, the North American Teams Table Tennis Championships in Baltimore, Maryland. This event is one of three Majors for the sport of table tennis in the United States. Players were delighted when NATT moved the event to its new home in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor bringing professionalism and new enthusiasm to the sport.
Through professional event management and software development, NATT has been able to develop events that are the most attended in USA Table Tennis. In 2000, NATT developed a tour of table tennis events, bringing professionally operated events to venues across America. With industry support for this activity from sporting goods manufacturers, the North American Table Tennis Tour was born. For the first time in USA Table Tennis history, an independent operator took the sport “on the road.”

Disabled Sport USA (DS/USA) is a national nonprofit, 501(c)(3), organization established in 1967 by disabled Vietnam veterans to serve those injured in war. DS/USA provides year round winter and summer sports and recreation programs, adapted to youth and adults with disabilities, including a program for permanently injured service members from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through these programs, DS/USA annually conducts over 140 regional and national level activities.
One of DS/USA’s most successful programs, Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project (WWDSP) supports and serves severely injured service members returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The project provides sports and recreation programs to these veterans and their families free of charge. This includes: transportation, lodging, meals, adpative equipment and training.

Aloha Tournaments (ERH)

Aloha Tournaments was created to develop, promote and host youth athletic tournaments. In 1999, the founders of Aloha Tournaments created the Warrior Lax Splash Lacrosse Tournament. Lax Splash quickly became the largest competitive lacrosse tournament in the world. Along with Lax Splash, Aloha Tournaments has created or helped develop over a dozen other lacrosse and field hockey tournaments.
It is Aloha’s belief that a tournament has to be more than a few games and a trophy. The founders and administrators have had many years of experience in the lacrosse and field hockey industry – both as players, volunteers and business people. Aloha Tournaments is dedicated to providing the complete tournament experience. Tournaments can be organized in a competitive or festival atmosphere. All age groups can be accommodated.
Corrigan Sports Enterprises (ERH)

Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) was established in 1991 with the goal of creating, managing and implementing sports and event marketing opportunities for the corporate community. Based in outside Baltimore City, CSE develops and implements events throughout the entire Baltimore/Washington region and maintains longstanding relationships with the corporate community in each market. CSE has built relationships with prominent members of the profession at all levels including professional franchises, collegiate sports teams, athletic departments and sports media along with local, regional and national corporations. These relationships have opened the door to a variety of sports and lifestyle activities.
Orienteering USA (NGB/ERH)

Orienteering USA is continually gaining ground throughout the regional, national and international landscape as the national governing body of orienteering for the US as recognized by the International Orienteering Federation & the US Olympic Committee. Orienteering USA hosts numerous events across the US for its more than 50,000+ active members.

US Lacrosse (NGB/ERH)

US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men’s and women’s lacrosse, primarily serving the youth game. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game, boasts 63 chapters throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport.
US Lacrosse sponsors numerous events over the course of the year that appeal to players, coaches, officials and fans of the game. These events range from educational to recreational in nature, and include the US Lacrosse National Convention, the annual Hall of Fame Ceremony, clinics for coaches, officials and players, and youth festivals and tournaments.

US Table Soccer Federation (NGB/ERH)

In 2002, the United States Table Soccer Federation (USTSF), a 501(3)c non-profit charitable organization was formed and became one of the first member organizations to affiliate with the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF). The combined USTSF Staff has well over 150 years of experience with table soccer from competitive play, arcade management, and route operating to tour staff, tournament direction, and manufacturer sales and product promotions (and is further supported by approximately 40 volunteer USTSF Regional and State Directors nationwide).
The USTSF acts as the United States’ officially designated liaison between the ITSF and the various USA-based “member” foosball organizations (e.g., the United States Table Soccer Association [USTSA], Bonzini USA, Independent Foosball Promotions [IFP], etc.) as well as all the table manufacturers and the United States Olympic Committee.

National Steeplechase Association (NGB)

Based Fairhill Training Center, Maryland, the National Steeplechase Association is the headquarters of American steeplechase racing. As the official sanctioning body of the U.S. Steeplechase racing, the National Steeplechase Association licenses participants, approves race courses, trains officials, coordinates race entries, enforces rules, compiles an official database, and oversees the national marketing and public relations of the sport. The NSA provides essential services and information to participants and fans alike. Another main goal of the NSA is to preserve the tradition and history of steeplechasing in the 21st century.
